After that, John, ever the people person, went to most of the tables to try to chat people up, which is quite an accomplishment since he still only knows a few words. Then the big guy himself, Easter Bunny made an appearence. Johnny was both awestuck and not quite sure of the Bunny. After brunch, each kid got an opportunity to take a picture with the bunny. John did NOT want to go by himself, so this is what we got.
After that, we did an Easter Egg hunt. Those kids are like gazelles, John did not stand a chance! I got excited as I spotted a few stray eggs missed by the other kids. Maybe a little too excited, but John did quite enjoy it.
One of the little boys gave John his purple egg since he didn't have his five. It was seriously the cutest thing ever. The lady running the event gave him another egg, but had four in her hand. John tried to take all four, but ended up with just the one.
We then got to play Bunny bingo. Although I never managed to make bingo, my wonderful sister Elyse did and John ended up with a nice book and a duck.
Overall, it was a terrific and fun event for us. I would definately go again. The one thing that I hate about programming for little kids, whether it is through the park district, church or whatever, it is overwhelmingly during the work day. It is so much fun for me to have the opportunity to do things like this with my son.
However, we did another Bunny visit, mainly because I had to return something to the mall. This one didn't go quite as well.
Katie,
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed this.
